Forever Amish by Kate Lloyd follows Sally Bingham who is engaged to be married and has an ailing father. She journeys to a bed and breakfast in Lancaster County for a weekend. Her plans get changed and through a series of events, she ends up at an Amish home. While she is there, she uncovers a shocking secret about her past and then she is forced to offer forgiveness.

I did not read any of the other books in this series, but I really enjoyed this book. I was engaged in the story and I wanted to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. I was surprised by the secret Sally uncovers in this book.

I did have trouble a few times believing how things happened. For example, Sally leaves to go to Lancaster because she gets an email from Lizzie on her website. Maybe people will leave for this reason, but it as well as a few other things seemed a little far fetched. That aside, I enjoyed this story. I connected pretty well with the characters. I found the plot of this story to be interesting as well.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. Looking past the few unrealistic elements, I found this to be a good book. This was the first book I read by Lloyd and I am looking forward to reading other books from her in the future.
