Being a HUGE fan of the War Room movie and being impacted by the movie, I was excited to dive deeper into the topic of prayer with The Battle Plan for Prayer: From Basic Training to Targeted Strategies.

This book is laid out for a chapter to be read once a day. This is a nice format as it makes it easier to get through the book and take time to process the topic for the day. The chapters aren’t marked “day x” so you could read more than one per day if you wanted to.

I really like the extent this book goes to on the topic of prayer. While I’m sure there is a lot that could be written on each particular topic, I like that there is a huge variety of topics on prayer covered from the legacy of prayer and scheduled prayer to the wonder of God’s Names and praying for family.

This book is also equipped with many valuable resources in the back like the names of God, verses to go to when struggling with different things, and prayer strategy verses. This section really impressed me and is one I think I will be referencing pretty frequently.

I’m so happy I found this book and had the opportunity to read it. I wish this book would have been written years ago because it has so many great resources and I learned a lot about prayer from it.
